About Compare IQ
Compare IQ is a software platform operated by Purple Koru, Inc. that helps organizations model, analyze, and compare cloud infrastructure pricing across multiple cloud providers and infrastructure platforms. The Compare IQ website functions primarily as a marketing website, while the Compare IQ platform requires authenticated login access through paid SaaS subscriptions.

This Notice at Collection explains the categories of personal information Purple Koru collects from California residents and the purposes for which that information is used. Personal information is collected when individuals interact with the Compare IQ website, create platform accounts, use the Compare IQ platform, or communicate with Purple Koru.

Internet or network activity may include information about pages viewed, features accessed, configuration activity, usage patterns, and general engagement with the platform. This information may be collected through cookies and similar technologies and does not include the recording or interception of the content of private communications.
Derived Data
Purple Koru may generate anonymized, aggregated data derived from Customer Data and platform usage ("Derived Data") for internal product development, platform improvement, and the publication of anonymized market trend reports. Derived Data excludes any deal name field and cannot be used to identify any individual California resident, customer, or specific transaction. Derived Data is not sold and is not used for targeted advertising or profiling of individuals.
Purposes for Collecting Personal Information
Purple Koru collects personal information for the following legitimate business purposes:

These providers are contractually obligated to use personal information only for the purpose of providing services on Purple Koru's behalf and are required to maintain appropriate data protection safeguards.

Purple Koru does not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond what is necessary to provide and operate the Compare IQ platform. Sensitive personal information is not used for profiling or targeted advertising.
Relationship to Customer Data
Compare IQ processes certain data on behalf of customer organizations in connection with the operation of the platform. For such data, the customer organization acts as the data controller, and Purple Koru acts as a data processor. The handling of this data is governed by the Compare IQ Privacy Policy and applicable data processing agreements with customers.
Data Retention
Purple Koru retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
